I have at least one in the window knocking things over when I come home – unless I sneak in and they’re asleep… They are really ’embarrassed’ if I catch them napping!
So sweet. Our dog Billy used to stand in the window around 5pm watching for us. Now our kitties often hang out by the door and are right there when we come home. It’s sweet!
When I leave, I tell my dog “protect the house and take care of the cats!” That at least makes ME feel like she’s got an important job to do while I’m gone and she’s not just being “abandoned” while I’m at work. Silly, I know.

My babies are at home right now and I’m sure they’ve chewed through something : ).

I hate leaving my fur kids at home, especially when I have to pull a really looooooong shift or work overnight 🙁
i leave on the history channel in one room and turned on an “oldies” radio in the other

Then the dogcarecenter is good but still they are exated because they want food as soon we are at home!
